Dead Zone Calculator

As with any camera, optimal visibility will often be achieved by mounting the IR Revolution 360 on a mast or tower, whether for naval or terrestrial applications.  Height allows for unobstructed views and wide area surveillance, but comes with a drawback: the higher a camera, the larger the blind zone under it.  The blind zone or “dead zone” will vary with the camera’s vertical field of view and can be shortened by adjusting the downward tilt of the sensor.
