We offer a motorized tilt-of-the-sensor head, to enhance visibility in applications where the IR Revolution 360 is placed on tall towers or structures, or in certain vehicle-mounted applications. Use of this motorized tilt reduces the dead zone below (or above) the camera. Tilt is achieved remotely, via a software command.
The taller the tower, the larger the dead zone below the camera if the head is left at a “0” angle. By using the tilt function, this dead zone can be dramatically reduced. The head can also be tilted up. This can be particularly useful for vehicle application in urban settings to see rooftops or at FOBs in valleys to scan surrounding mountains.
